Aout 8-11, Anno Meron 210, our Arrival on the Crossroads

Through our faith in the lady, the trip through the Veil has led us to the place we set as our destination, the Crossroads, the Vortex. As a first step we have presented ourselves to High Lord Asaris and requested the hospitatity of his faction, which he granted. The High Lords first impression upon us is one of devotion but inaptitude to lead. Within several hours after our arrival in the faction, he has offered us several functions, which we have graciously accepted. Sieur Dumas has become Steward, or second in command of the faction, and I have become “general” of the militia, for lack of a better word.

The faction is in disarray, though their ideals of Chivalry, Compassion and Justice ring true, the deeds of the many reflect not the course of the few. On the hour of our arrival, Sieur Clovis is busying himself with alleged demonic presense and with great diligence sets to work to find out more and solve said presence.

Seigneur de Doulaincourt and sieur de Coubertin have gained a foothold within the guild of warriors where their proper demeanor and adherence to the ideals of knighthood have granted them swift promotions, thereby giving us access and influence.

We have sent the esclave Amaranthe to the guild of herbalists and alchemist to gain knowledge to be used for the good of all, and the esclave Anne Sophie has been assigned to the guild of healers to do the same. At a later stage, a ritualist named Kronkel has asked to use Anne Sophie as the focus for a ritual in the name of Hope, but it has not come to pass yet.

One memorable encounter was with a dame named Merel, whom seemed infused with the power of the Lady of the Chalice, causing me and other spiritually attuned members of our congregation to venerate her with proper forms, for we firmly believed her to be a spectre of the lady. However, in retrospect and upon careful research and consideration, she seems to be too doubtful of herself and although empowered, not given to wisdom as befitting a true embodiment of the Lady, so she has either bewitched us or is a servitar in the lady, in both which situations we must act according to our mission, Rule and responsibilities.

During a Ritual of Summoning of the so-called Princess of Light, we were present and contributed, for it was said this strengthens the Vortex. Since this has been done for thousands of years, apparently, we deemed it harmless to participate and were in return considered to be sworn to the faction, though only few of us have uttered the required vow of loyalty towards the Faction of Light.

Many signs have been given to us by the Lady, which has proven to us that our presence upon the Crossroads is meritous, though dangerous, in her eyes and that we may gain her favor.

Sieur de Coubertin has obtained a sword of exceptional quality and I have deemed him a proper bearer of the item until we decide what to do with it.

Seigneur de Doullaincourt has confiscated a mastercrafted dagger, which he will carry upon his person until a proper use has been found for it.

Vive la dame, vive le corbeau, vive la Reine
