Janvier, Anno Meron 211, Winter Solstice
Today I was greeted by a sight most uncommon: a woman in the attire of a Vaillant of our most beloved Order, soeur Clarisse de Bastille. I count myself fortunate to have received news in advance of the most noble Maréchal so I would be prepared. From what I have heard it seems a foul play of politics and might is to be considered strongly but I will not put these thoughts to writing nor give voice to them so I can honor Saint Clément as he spoke: In multiloquio non effugies peccatum.
The brothers have ruffled their feathers and some have voiced great concerns over this most unorthodox of matters; however, obedience remains their virtue and they will serve as asked.
Almost forgotten by merit of this exceptional occurrance was the arrival of yet another promising Vaillant, Alain Moreau, who will join us to the Crossroads shortly.
Fevrier, Anno Meron 211, Report on the Celebration of the Elements,
Sire Munin invited us to his premises to celebrate his birthday. As this day carried promise of conversation and political manoevering, we decided to attend and learn more of both the Portal world and lands beyond. Several things of note passed during this day.
The Council of Navigators expressed their wish to appoint me as General of the Vortex. However, the role so far appears to be of political merit only and until such day that they put teeth to the bear, this position will not be considerd; I have shared my thoughts upon this matter with them and they will report back to me when more wisdom has been found.
Also, the Guild of Alchemists is in disarray so I have asked Brother Reynard to oversee matters there and use the esclave Amarante as he sees fit since the dealing there border on witchery.
Brother Reynard has read several articles that claim to describe the absolute truth of the so called multiverse. He seems fazed by what he has read and we should consider burning it, for when even one as true as Reynard is given to ponderings, it is dangerous indeed.
Vaillant Clarisse has proven to have a sharp wit for politics where Vaillants Jean Clément and Alain have assisted the other brothers to the best of their abilities.
