I have recieved orders for a new mission and hence a new Missionbook. Antoine de Loup, our honored Maréchal, has granted me the honor and privilege of leading a mission to the Vortex, a place beyond the Veil, a place of Crossroads, to further assess merit and necessity of our presence there.

With the orders came a report of Seigneur Reynard du Doullaincourt and he will also accompany us to act as Drussard. I have immediately and strongly asked Seigneur Reynard to report to me, for there are many questions yet unanwered. I will attacht his report to this Livre.

From the report and questions regarding the report, Reynard has seen several reasons to visit the Vortex. First and foremost, it is a place where a Portal to our beloved world is, and about which we must, at all costs, find out more. How is it controlled, how is it protected, can it be closed, what does it mean for our safety.

Also, there are many Idols and other false gods worshipped in that place, and it is of importance that influence never reaches our people, for to doubt the faith is to endanger one's chance of rebirth and transcendence.

There are however also opportunities, many exotic skills are available there, nearly unguarded, and may give our brave army the necessary advantages they need in the struggles upon our borders.

Questions that immediately come to the fore and answers should be sough most diligently:
~ are there factions without navigators,
~ what empowerement brings membership of faction and guild with it,
~ which organisations exist and what do they aim to do,
~ signs of the Lady,
~ and much more.


Juin 26, 210 AM, préparations

A gathering at Krak du Chevanton brings our mission together for the first time in mandatory secrecy. The following Brothers have assembled:
~ Seigneur Raphaël du Chastillon, paladin, expert in military operations and purgatory missions;
~ Seigneur Reynard du Doullaincourt, expert in politics, assassination and poison, our Drussard for this mission;
~ Sieur Dumas Chevanton, with arcane aptitude and expert in politics and intricacies of crowds;
~ Sieur Camille Clovis, priest, expert on daemonic and aengelic beings;
~ Sieur Darafeyen de Coubertin, expert on the undead and unliving.

Also, we will add specialist mage Sargrurz to the mission for those areas where a dedicated mage is deemed a more proper presence. The members of this most sacred mission will take upon them the following roles:

~ combatants : Seigneur du Doullaincourt, sieur du Coubertin
~ merchants : Seigneur du Doullaincourt, sieur Clovis
~ magique : Sieur Dumas, Sargrurz
~ guérir : Seigneur Raphaël, esclave Anne Sophie

~ prêtres : Sieur Clovis, Seigneur Raphaël, esclave Anne Sophie
Also, we will present ourselves to the faction of Gargoyle for acquaintance.
